HIS STORY
Darius wasn't just a ball player; he had a brilliant mind as well. Our stellar student was scheduled to graduate on December 16, 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management but Darius’ dreams and goals were stolen. The DLee23 Foundation promises to continue the legacy of this educated, talented, respectable, charismatic young man who believed in following his own path and doing it his way. The LEE Way!
Darius Lee was an intelligent college athlete with a promising future until he was senselessly gunned down in a random mass shooting Father’s Day weekend, June 20th, 2022 while home on college break visiting his family. NYPD is still investigating his murder and asking for help that would lead to an arrest of the person or persons responsible.
ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION
To carry on the legacy of Darius Lee; working in the spirit of excellence to help youth secure promising futures.
To provide opportunities that allow youth and college bound individuals to showcase, improve, and pursue their goals in reference to basketball, sports medicine, and sports management.
To do it “The LEE Way” with Loyalty, Eagerness, and Education.
The corporation was formed for the charitable purpose of securing promising futures for youth and college bound students. Our Foundation will include but not limiting to mentoring programs, basketball camps, stipends for those unable to pay for various fees related to basketball and training, and college scholarships in memory of College Division 1 Basketball Senior, Darius Lee.
